Creatures and The Garden of the Stars are the titles of the two shows that the Italian masters Marcello Chiarenza and Alessandro Serena, heavyweights of the New Circus in Europe, premiered for the first time in Barcelona. The New Circus drinks from the richness of the popular and traditional generous, such as the Comedy of Art and the classical circus, and makes a rereading and fusion with the clown, acrobatics, dance and juggling. The experimentation is one of over features, as well as the original music, which collaborates in the presentation on the stage of a story, a story that explains the final meaning of the whole show. Creatures is a performance of Archipelago Circus Theater based on the arts of African acrobatic theater that IS BORN inspired by the Song of the Creatures of St. Francis of Assisi. Since its premiere, it has been performed three hundred times across the continent, and has been received with PRAISE and audience success, with more than 150,000 viewers. The Garden of the Stars is a set of four performances performed by an exceptional cast that have been thoughts especially for our festival.
